Welcome to The Mobile Searcher

Welcome. Searching for information on the move is very different from stationary search (such as a search carried out from your home PC), and that difference is not accommodated by current Web search engines. The Mobile Searcher was started to document progress in, comment on the insufficiency of, and to propose solutions for mobile search, i.e. Internet search from mobile devices.

Note that the title is intentionally ambiguous, as Mobile Searcher can be read as "somebody who searches with a mobile (device)" but also as "somebody who is mobile and searches for something", thus indicating the relevance of place in mobile search.
